Dates/Schedule
Lawrence Regional will be held from May 29th to June 1st. Up to seven games will be played at Hoglund Stadium in a double-elimination format. A complete schedule of teams and game times will be announced on Monday.
Improvements to Hoglund Stadium
Kansas State increased capacity at Hoglund Stadium by about 60 percent. The capacity of Hoglund Stadium will be approximately 4,000, up from the previous 2,500.
A new fan area has been created on the other side of the left field fence, nicknamed the “backyard.” Lawn chairs are allowed in the backyard but must be brought in through the backyard gate in left field. Bringing in food and drink from outside is prohibited. Discount benefits are available in the backyard.
The visiting team’s bullpen location has been moved under the Rich Jantz Player Development Center structure.
Due to the change in the visiting team’s bullpen location, the former bullpen location will be used as a standing room only fan area. Tents will be set up in that area, as well as access to concessions and refreshments.
To increase safety in the standing-only area, protective netting has been installed along the third base line.
Extension course and amenities
As capacity increased, the concourse was expanded to include part of the first and third base parking lots that surround Hoglund Stadium.
Additional restrooms will be located in the extended concourses on the first and third base sides and in the left field seats in the backyard.
Additional concessions and food trucks will be introduced in each of these areas. All concession stands and food trucks are credit card only. Cash is not accepted.
Ticket information
Tickets for Lawrence Regional games are sold by the entire session or by a single game. All seats in the grandstands at Hoglund Stadium will be reserved. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, May 27th at 10 a.m. Central Time at KUAthletics.com. All tickets are subject to availability. Season ticket holders and active donors will receive ticket information via email.
Single game ticket:
Please note that tickets are not valid for all games on the day. Fans planning to attend all games played on a single day must purchase both single game tickets. The backyard will be a first-come, first-served seating area in left field beyond the fence at Hoglund Stadium. Fans purchasing tickets in the backyard may have an obstructed view. This area will be standing room only and lawn chairs will be allowed. Backyard tickets do not allow entry to the grandstand.
Ticket price:
• Chairback reservation: $50
• Reserve bench: $45
• Standing room reservation: $35*
• Backyard: $25
Taxes and fees will be applied to all tickets at checkout.
*The standing room only area below the third base line is not planned for use by the general public. Remaining ticket inventory will be sold to the general public.
Fans with reserved bench tickets will be allowed to bring their personal seat backs into Hoglund Stadium. To account for Lawrence Regional’s seating capacity, personal seatbacks must be no more than 2.5 feet wide. Seat backs are not sold in stores.
University of Kansas sporting events are fully digital, and tickets can be accessed through your Kansas Athletics Ticket Office account or the Kansas Jayhawks app 24 hours prior to the event.
student ticket
Students will continue to have a strong presence at Hoglund Stadium during postseason play, just as they did during the season. The first 130 students with a valid KU student ID will receive free tickets at the Allen Fieldhouse Ticket Office. After claiming 130 tickets, students can purchase tickets for $10, subject to availability. Seating options for students include bleacher areas and backyards. Students must arrive at the ballpark early to secure tickets.
Student tickets can only be received for games in which KU is participating on the day of the game. If Kansas plays in the second game, the first 130 students will not receive their free tickets until the gates open for the second game.
The Allen Fieldhouse box office opens two hours prior to the first game each day.
parking
Free parking is available in lots 72, 90, 93, 112, 113, 116, 125, and 127. A map of the parking lots closest to Hoglund Ballpark can be found here. Pregame tailgating is permitted in Lots 90 and 127.
Please note that traffic routes around the ballpark will be adjusted to eliminate traffic behind home plate at Hoglund Ballpark.
If you are interested in bringing a recreational vehicle (RV), please email cccook@ku.edu with your name, license plate number, and number of people planning to stay in the RV overnight.
crimson club
The Crimson Club inside Allen Fieldhouse will be open for fans to watch the game. Admission to the Crimson Club is free and no game ticket is required for admission. Fans can freely enter and exit 13 gates.
Discounts and drinks are available for purchase inside the Crimson Club. Purchases can only be made by credit card, cash is not accepted.
gates
