milan — Trussardi is investing in its retail network and expects to open 10 new stores by the end of the year.
“Our first objective was to clarify and define the identity of the brand and increase its visibility,” said CEO Alberto Racca, who joined Trussardi in March 2024 following the acquisition of Trussardi by Italian fashion group Miroglio.
“Retail plays a central role in the relaunch of Trussardi, and we are building a more international, more consistent and more selective network, starting with Italy and the markets where Trussardi has more potential,” Racca explained.
The development includes new stores in Verona and Como, Italy. Antalya, Türkiye; Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Sochi, Russia. Podgorica in Montenegro and Yerevan in Armenia.
Racca is committed to preserving the identity and heritage of the brand, which was founded in 1911 as a glove manufacturer. He believes Trussardi can further develop as a lifestyle label in line with its history without neglecting the fashion and accessories categories.

In fact, the company’s first Trussardi-branded apartment complex in Dubai’s Al Furjan district is fully furnished by home and furniture licensees Luxury Living and Mira Developments.
Trussardi unveiled its latest home collection last month during Milan Design Week, and Mr. Racca is enthusiastic about its relationship with luxury living, saying it successfully translates Trussardi’s core codes from ready-to-wear and accessories to interior design, including leather, denim and its greyhound print. The brand’s iconic greyhound logo was first introduced in 1973.
“Consistency and productive interaction are essential,” Rucka said of home licenses. “This is a true partnership and one we will create together.”
In addition, Trussardi has entered into a partnership with Genoa’s Salone Nautico, which will initially provide a venue for the boat show, which he said will “bring together the different worlds of fashion, home, design, travel and leisure.”
Mr Racca often praises Nicola Trussardi, who drove his family’s business in the 80s and 90s, as a pioneer in embracing lifestyle concepts. He opened Palazzo Trussardi near La Scala in 1996 as one of the world’s first concept stores that combined fashion retail and food. It also served as an exhibition space for artists and architects.
By opening stores in Verona and Como, Trussardi will be able to “strengthen its ties to the Italian market in two cities with high growth potential. These are historic cities that are not only representative of Italy, but also very international,” said Racca, citing, for example, the story of Romeo and Juliet and Arena, which gives Verona a great appeal for tourists. Como is known worldwide for its beautiful lake scenery, but “both cities have very strong production and economic systems,” Racca added.
The two stores will each be approximately 1,080 square feet and will be decorated in Trussardi’s new look, featuring dark brown and biscuit brown and slightly embossed leather. Walnut wood. crystal and brass. “It’s functional, not flashy, warm and inviting,” says Rucka.
With a retail expansion plan launched last year, the brand is sold in more than 20 countries and has more than 10 full-price stores in Western Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, India and Central Asia.
Trussardi has entered into a joint venture with Turkish retailer Ipeköl, with Rakka touting “very strong brand awareness” and “huge interest” in the brand in Turkey.
The company has also just signed a license with Rodolfo Zengarini to manufacture and sell men’s and women’s shoes starting with the Spring 2027 collection. “This partnership strengthens a strategic category for Trussardi,” Racca said, praising the Italian producer’s “industrial capabilities, manufacturing and distribution capabilities, all the essential elements to offer footwear in line with our company’s policies.” Traditional and still relevant to today’s clients. ”

Other licenses include: Morellato jewelry and watches. Areab beachwear and underwear. Arav’s junior. Mirabello sheets. Go Eyewear eyewear. The wallpaper is Zanbaichi and the perfume is Give Back Beauty. We produce our bags in-house. Rucka said the orbiter bag is selling well and is a bestseller.
Quattro R took control of the Italian fashion brand in 2019, but in 2023 its employees became eligible for cassa interagione, or government-funded redundancy, and the company applied to its creditors for a restructuring plan to allow it to continue operating under a so-called “settlement with creditors” process. Former CEO Sebastian Suhl exited the brand in March 2023.
In addition to preserving and further developing the renowned brand, this agreement allowed Miroglio to enter the luxury end of the market and expand its portfolio by adding menswear and accessories.
Miroglio was founded by Giuseppe Miroglio in 1947 in Alba, Piedmont, Italy, and manages a wide range of brands, from Elena Mirò and Motivi to Oltre and Fiorella Rubino.
